Mancherial city falls on the the Kashmir to Kanyakumari railway route. The railways provide an essential service to the nearby areas which are home to the famous Singareni Coal Mines, one of the biggest in India, and innumerable cement factories. The area serves as a major halting destination for goods transport. The Mancherial railway station is well connected by major rail services. Almost all the express services and regular local and district trains have a halt here.
